I studied computer science when that meant compilers, pointers, and a great deal of patience — then spent most of a career in management, further and further from the code. Claude Code pulled me back in. Everything here started as something I wanted and could not find, which is why it is all over the map. It is also all free.

04Chladni
Runs a Gray–Scott reaction–diffusion system on the GPU, drives its parameters from live audio analysis, and ray marches the result as an extruded heightfield at 60 Hz.

Feeds your Yelp export through a polite geocoder and produces an interactive Leaflet map colour-coded by review, check-in, or both — plus a printable poster of the same data.
PlayDateNight
Watch someone's kids, earn a credit. Spend it when you want a night out. A small Postgres schema, a lot of Row Level Security, and a social contract doing most of the work.
Quicken Analysis
Point it at a Quicken Mac CSV export and it produces a single HTML file — spending baseline, net worth, savings rate, and a FIRE-style projection, with the whole dataset inlined.
About
The projects here have almost nothing in common with each other. An audio visualizer written in Metal, a map built from a Yelp export, a babysitting ledger, three decades of financial history. That is not a portfolio strategy — it is just what happens when you build whatever is annoying you that month.
What they do share: they run on your own machine, they do not phone home, and you can have them for nothing.
